Dormer Products can be used for a diverse range of purposes, including:

• PUSH-TUBE SAMPLERS
  For taking undisturbed samples in normal soils. It is a thin walled steel or stainless steel tube, 1.6mm or 2.0mm thick, with one end sharpened and rolled and the other end has holes drilled in the sides to screw the tube onto a Drive Adaptor.
• SOIL AUGERS
  We have several different designs of augers for drilling and sampling soils and clays. Standard sizes are 50mm (2″), 62mm (2½”), 75mm (3″) and 100mm (4″) and some others made-to-order.
• SAND AUGERS
  Sand Augers come in one design (with some minor variations) for drilling or sampling sands. Standard sizes are 50mm (2″), 62mm (2½”), 75mm (3″) and 100mm (4″) and some others made-to-order.
• SPECIAL SAMPLERS
  We have several special purpose samplers, made for specific soil conditions or for specific sampling requirements.
• HYDRAULIC DRIVE UNITS
  The Drillmite is a portable power drive unit for the augers and replaces the manually turned T-handle. The Sandrill is a portable hydraulic unit that is used to sample sand or very sandy soils to depths from >20 metres to 100 metres.
• BELOW THE WATER TABLE
  For sampling below the water table it requires specialised equipment to hold the fluid samples and to prevent the hole collapsing.
• EXTENSION RODS
  The Extension Rods are available in steel, aluminium or stainless steel with either coarse thread or hex/pin connection.
• ACCESSORIES
  Accessories is a broad term used to describe all the other bits and pieces available, including T-handles, Tommy Bars, Carry Bags, Tool Boxes, Chisels, Star Drills, etc.
